Privacy Policy
Caputi Studio is designed around private capture and deliberate sharing. This policy explains what the service processes, where it is stored, and the choices available to you.
Information we process
- Account details such as your name, email address, profile image, and sign-in identifiers.
- Recordings, screenshots, audio, camera video, SOP content, titles, and edit instructions you create.
- Technical data needed to operate and protect the service, including browser capabilities, request metadata, errors, and storage usage.
How your content is handled
Unsigned sessions keep captures in your browser’s local storage. When you sign in and choose cloud capture, recording chunks are sent to private object storage as they are produced; the complete video is not intentionally accumulated in memory before upload.
Screen, camera, microphone, and supported system audio are captured only after browser permission and a direct action from you. Manual privacy masks are baked into exported screenshots.
Why we use information
We use the information above to authenticate users, save and retrieve private work, provide capture and editing features, secure the service, diagnose failures, enforce limits, and respond to support or privacy requests. We do not sell your personal information or use your private recordings for advertising.
Service providers
Caputi Studio currently relies on Clerk for authentication, Railway for the web application, and Cloudflare for the API, metadata database, and private media storage. Google processes information when you choose Google sign-in. Each provider handles data under its own privacy and security terms.
Retention, deletion, and security
Local captures remain on the device until you remove them or clear browser storage. Cloud content is retained while your account or workspace needs it, subject to product limits and legal obligations. You may request access to or deletion of account data and cloud content. We use access controls, private storage, encrypted transport, and per-user authorization, but no online service can promise absolute security.
Your responsibilities and choices
Only record people, systems, and information you are allowed to capture. Review privacy masks and generated material before sharing. You can deny camera, microphone, or screen permissions, use the local browser vault, sign out, delete local browser data, or ask us to remove cloud data.
Contact and changes
For privacy questions or deletion requests, email kat.hervera@gmail.com. We may update this policy as the MVP evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page.
